Evin was born on the 27th of August, 1976, in Los Angeles, California, as the youngest child to William “Bill” Cosby and Camille Olivia Cosby.
Evin attended Banks Street Elementary, a private school in New York. Later on, she then went to Columbia Grammar and Preparatory.
Soon after graduating high school, Evin began her tertiary education at Spelman College in Atlanta, Georgia. But later, she switched to studying fashion at the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) in New York.
Her passion for business and creativity led to the launch of her store, PB & Caviar, in 2008.
She opened the store in the famous neighborhood of New York, TriBeCa, soon after she graduated from college.
However, she has permanently closed down the store.
Several reports claimed that the negative media attention that the Cosby family was receiving at that time due to their father’s rape allegations led to her decision to close down the store.

According to Evin, the rape allegation against her dad was never thoroughly investigated and was just repeated outside of the criminal court system.

“Men and Women need to stand up and say something. There are plenty of them that have experienced being accused of a major crime that they NEVER committed.”
“Rape is a serious allegation and it is suppose to be taken VERY seriously but so is Falsely accusing someone,”
“When someone rapes a person they go to prison. THAT should also happen to the person that has wrongfully accused an innocent victim.”
Despite being the youngest of the family’s daughters, Evin and her parents, particularly her father, Bill, get along well.
She has a brother, Ennis Cosby, who was killed during a failed robbery attempt back in 1997. She also have three other sisters, Erika Ranee Cosby, Erinn Chalene Cosby, and Ensa Cosby.
In 2018, the Cosby family lost Ensa to a kidney condition called renal disease.
