Jaylen Fleer was a former San Diego Sheriff’s Deputy who has worked five years in the force.
The Chula Vista police arrested Jaylen when he was just 28 years old in 2020 for sexually assaulting minors.
His youngest victim was only nine years old. Jaylen committed his dangerous acts from March 27 to April 8, 2020.
The county’s department received two anonymous tips that led to Jaylen’s arrest. His arrest was followed by four long months of investigations.
During his assault, he lured teenage girls with gifts and money. Jaylen made use of the Snapchat app to send indecent messages and photos of himself to his victims.
He allegedly assaulted 41 girls and pleaded guilty to all the 20 counts made against him. Once found guilty, a San Diego County judge sentenced Jaylen Fleer to a 12-year prison sentence.
In addition to his current prison sentence, Fleer will serve probation after completing it.
Jaylen Fleer is currently serving his 12-year prison sentence in San Diego. However, he filed an appeal for a re-sentencing in 2022. He was denied the appeal.
