Edward Roy McHale is the first son of Joel McHale and his wife Sarah Williams. He was born in Los Angeles, California on January 14, 2005.
Edward was diagnosed with two holes in the wall of his heart when he was just two weeks old. He had open-heart surgery back in 2005 at the Los Angeles Children’s Hospital.
Eddward’s parents had to feed him with an eyedropper every four hours when he was an infant.
This was because the little child could not be breastfed like other infants due to his diagnosis.
During this time, his parents had to make a routine shift of feeding him. Joel fed the infant at night while his mother Sarah fed him in the morning.
The infant had to stay for about five days in the pediatric recovery room and his parents remember feeling helpless at this point.
Currently, the 19-year-old is healthy and has made a full recovery from his surgery.
However, as Eddie grew, he was again diagnosed with dyslexia a condition his father also suffers from. He also had attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).
Edward’s younger brother whose name is Isaac Hayden McHale was born on March 12, 2008. He also suffers from dyslexia.
Their parents Joel McHale and Sarah Williams married on July 20, 1996, in Seattle, Washington.
